IAN KARR
Ian Karr is the president and executive producer of IKA Collective, a
multi-million dollar New York based production agency. Since founding
IKA over twenty years ago, Karr has amassed thousands of credits
producing and directing content for prestigious clients including
Showtime Networks, Bertelsmann, HBO, Associated Press, Merck, Viacom,
and Continental Airlines. He has worked with numerous A-list actors,
celebrities and CEO’s of Fortune 500 companies while filming in over
twenty countries and most of the fifty states.
IKA Collective is headquartered in New York City. The full floor
facility in midtown Manhattan includes five HD editing and graphics
suites, two ProTools rooms, a fully equipped insert stage and
production offices. The firm also has satellite production offices in
Venice, California.
In addition to directing countless commercials, Ian directed the short
film “Caged,” starring Chris Elliott which aired on Showtime Networks.
He also produced David Paymer’s directorial debut “Candor City
Hospital,’ which stars Michael McKean and Paymer. Ian created the
innovative children’s program “Do Re Mi with Mr. B.,” and most recently
directed The Sopranos veteran Steve Schirripa in a television series
featuring Italian cuisine and culture. Karr has also created and
produced original content specifically for in-flight exhibition. Shows
like “Three for the Road,” “What Just Happened?” and “Continental
Bookshelf” have been viewed by millions of travelers.
